In November 2012, Ingrid Loyola-Nazareth began supporting patients in ambulatory care at The Ottawa Hospital, including those in the Medical Day Care Unit, internal medicine and various surgical clinics. Three times a week, she greets incoming patients and provides information whenever it is needed, making them feel welcome and creating a healing environment that supports patients and families through the stresses imposed by illness and hospitalization.
