Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
Delores Dzubin brought the issue of elder abuse to the attention of the community. She helped to establish the Saskatoon Council on Aging, served as its first co-president and spearheaded a project to help prevent elder abuse. She was a Canadian Girls in Training leader, an active member of the home and school association, and an Elder of her church. Mrs. Dzubin also ran a blood-pressure clinic for seniors and was long active as a canvasser for several charitable and non-profit organizations.
