Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
Since 1987, Ann Hepditch has volunteered at St. Mary's General Hospital in Kitchener. With commitment, gentleness and true generosity of spirit, she greets visitors each weekday morning at the front doors of the hospital and guides patients and family members to their appointments. In addition to working with staff and patients, she is the convenor of approximately thirty other volunteers. Mrs. Hepditch has become a most beloved member of the hospital's family.
