Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
In addition to being a volunteer firefighter, Bill Pryor served his fellow fishermen as a member of the local fishermen's committee for almost two decades. When not actively involved in a variety of church positions and committees, or overseeing the Summer Student Work Program, he lent his talents as a singer of traditional Newfoundland songs for community fundraising events. Mr. Pryor was an exemplary volunteer in his small community, and inspired others through his dedication and sense of humour.
