Dick Brown has provided a lifetime of caring to the town of Hawarden and its citizens, supporting many community activities with his time, energy and resources. He has maintained his local church as a volunteer for the past twenty years, looked after the cemetery and assisted a local funeral home. He also visits people with illnesses, and is involved in a senior citizens' group. Over the years, his car has served as ambulance or taxi whenever there was a need.
