    Raymond Gagné, Lac Baker, N.B. Governor General's Caring Canadian Award Ever since his teen years, Raymond Gagné has devoted his time and talent to many community organizations, including the Lions Club, the Red Cross, the Canadian Cancer Society, the Saint John's Ambulance and the Children's Wish Foundation. During the 1960s, he founded a majorette corps and organized varied activities for thousands of young people in Sept-Îles. In Lac Baker he has organized summer festivals and numerous activities such as fairs and bazaars. Mr. Gagné has initiated cleanup and landscape beautification projects in addition to a campaign to obtain a guide dog for a young blind person.
