Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
Gertrude Dupuis has been an energetic volunteer with the Valley East Figure Skating Club since its founding, almost thirty years ago. She has been dressing room attendant, seamstress, carnival chairperson, secretary, newsletter publisher and test chairperson. A qualified judge and evaluator, she also travels across Ontario to judge competitions on a volunteer basis. In addition, Mrs. Dupuis has served as president of her weaving guild and is active in her church.
