Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
Gérard Bisaillon has been involved as a volunteer in the community for a number of years. He has held various positions in the municipal recreation service, and since 1993 has been involved in support and self-help programs for people who are underprivileged. He has helped collect funds, clothing, food, toys, furniture and other essentials for people in need, and has set up a centre for the weekly distribution of clothing and food. Mr. Bisaillon also takes part in door-to-door collection and basket distribution at Christmas.
