Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
Edward Hill has been involved for many years in the life of his community. Through his involvement with the Ontario Handball Association, he has had a positive impact on the sport of junior boys' and girls' handball. Mr. Hill serves on the volunteer board of the Association, and works at tournaments for the Canadian Handball Association and the United States Handball Association, seldom missing an event. For 30 years, he has contributed many hours to the Troy Lake Cottage Association, bookkeeping and writing and editing the annual newsletter. In addition, Mr. Hill has long been Treasurer and Trustee for the Humbercrest United Church.
