Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
A long-time resident of Montréal, Helen Campbell was a life-long volunteer. She worked in a variety of positions with the Volunteer Bureau of Montréal and served as President of Group 9 Meals on Wheels for almost three decades. In her 34 years of service to the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Homes Reception Centre Auxiliary, she was the driving force behind the introduction of physiotherapy and arts and crafts courses, organized birthday parties, seasonal entertainment and musical programs, distributed reading material and provided a mobile boutique for those unable to leave the residence.
