    Reverend Father Léopold Lanctôt, O.M.I., Ottawa, Ont. Governor General's Caring Canadian Award Reverend Father Léopold Lanctôt, diocesan chaplain of the Ottawa district of the Guides franco-canadiennes since 1971, has volunteered with the Guides for many years. Since 1967, he has been a volunteer trainer at the Commission nationale Plein-Air-Nature, where he conducts workshops in his field of expertise, Canadian nature, including astronomy, botany, entomology and ornithology. A passionate and enthusiastic communicator, he inspires young people to understand, respect, protect and love nature. Reverend Father Lanctôt has also written and collaborated on various publications about Canadian nature.
