Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
As founder and volunteer director and conductor of the Winnipeg Mennonite Children's Choir, Helen Litz has devoted more than forty years to the group's success. The choir delivers a message of goodwill and friendship through music and often performs at concerts to raise funds for children in need around the world. Mrs. Litz trains the choristers and accompanies them on their travels. She has also written several songs, from which all royalties go to various charities.
