Grant Loyer has shared his talents, initiative and leadership skills to improve and enrich the communities of Clinton and Port Hardy. As a member of the Port Hardy Rotary Club, he helped raise some $40,000 a year for community projects, also volunteering his time to carry out the work. For many years, he has been deeply involved in the local Scouting movement in various capacities, including training leaders. His efforts have provided safe, healthy and educational activities for young people. He has also helped organize the annual North Island Triathlon. In addition to his professional duties as a municipal administrator in Clinton, he has contributed many long hours of volunteer work for all kinds of tasks to ensure the success of public activities.
