Lise Marchand has devoted herself to various causes over the last 40 years, particularly those involving children and families. She acted as UNICEF's spokesperson for nine years and supported a children's organization in one of Montréal's disadvantaged neighbourhoods. She has also been involved in several community development projects in Latin America, including her current work with the Regroupement des missionaires laïque.
