Since 2008, Varun Banthia has been helping disadvantaged residents of Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside through his involvement as a frontline volunteer and Vice-Chair of the Dugout Drop-In Centre Society Board of Directors. He also served a term on the City of Vancouver Persons with Disabilities Advisory Committee to ensure respect for the voices and interests of people with disabilities.
