Throughout his career, he has defended the rights of Francophones, particularly in the area of education. A former professor and director of the University of Ottawa Guidance Centre, he is also a past president of Algonquin College. A founding member of the Conseil d'éducation franco-ontarienne, he has been involved in many organizations, including the Association canadienne-française de l'Ontario and the Fondation Richelieu International. A dedicated volunteer, he has demonstrated exemplary leadership in connection with local hospitals and currently serves on several boards.
