A dedicated volunteer, he is known as a man who consistently finds ways of giving back to the community. Sparing neither time nor energy, he has taken on leadership roles within a myriad of charitable and non-profit organizations, as well as with various sporting and civic events. For many years, he has been involved with the Edmonton Klondike Days Association and the Council for Canadian Unity. Governor of the Edmonton International Baseball Foundation and a founding Director of the Kids Kottage Foundation, he is the recipient of numerous awards for his community work.
