She has devoted her life to Canada's youth. A pediatric oncology nurse, administrator and educator for more than twenty years, she advocated for the rights of children with cancer. She went on to become the Executive Director of the Saskatchewan Institute on the Prevention of Handicaps. She has been a spokesperson on subjects ranging from neglect and abuse of children to safety and preventable injury. A tireless caring individual, she also volunteers her leadership to Saskatchewan's swim clubs and to many other health and social organizations.
