Throughout most of her adult life, she has been an active volunteer in many different community- based service organizations, displaying exceptional leadership skills. Her involvement with the Grace General Hospital's Neo-natal Unit has served to generate funds for the purchase of life-saving equipment. Interested in youth, she has fostered a sense of social consciousness amongst the province's younger citizens and has encouraged others to become active by her example.
