As a first-class actor, director and playwright, he has distinguished himself across the country. For almost fifty years, he has performed in major Canadian theatres and on television. He has been a vital part of two important theatre festivals, appearing for fifteen seasons at Stratford, and he is currently in his twenty-first season at the Shaw. A teacher and mentor who has influenced generations of actors, he continues to enrich the quality of theatre in Canada.
