A physician, researcher, administrator and educator, this pioneer has made a tremendous contribution to scientific knowledge. He is a strong leader in the fields of renal physiology and intra-renal circulation. He established a partnership between universities and industry, leading to the creation of three chairs in the Faculty of Medicine at the Université de Montréal. His vision, expertise and dynamic approach to science have advanced nephrology in Canada.
