As the owner/operator of a successful travel and accommodation business in Prince Edward Island, he has been a driving force behind the evolution of the Island's tourist industry. In addition to his business activities, he was a key player in the construction of Notre Dame Place, a community-based support centre for mentally disabled people, which includes a residential facility and the regional offices of the Canadian Mental Health Association. Through dedicated involvement and leadership, he has made a positive contribution to the community and he serves as an example for others to follow.
