The reputation of this teacher and orthopaedics surgeon long ago passed beyond the borders of Canada. His interest in sports medicine and the injuries athletes sustain, led him to assist with the organization of the Montreal Olympic Games, as Director of Medical Services. He has reflected great credit on Canadian medicine by taking part in editing and accepting responsibility for publishing, in English and French, the Atlas international d'orthopédie, a unique work that has a worldwide reputation.
