Entrepreneur and pioneer, he has left an indelible impression on the people of Northern Ontario as the driving force behind the establishment of the majority of the region's caisses populaires. He also founded several important companies, notably in residential and commercial construction, as well as a zoo. His many years as a justice of the peace and school board trustee are proof of his commitment to the community.
