A communications consultant, he has worked in a number of fields. He has held various positions within the Quebec government and has also been active in municipal politics. For nearly twenty years, he has put his knowledge and experience to work for humanitarian causes. He is President of the Fondation Jules et Paul-Émile Léger and, as President of the International Federation of Anti-Leprosy Associations, he is also involved in international organizations. An exemplary Canadian, he is perceived as a true citizen of the world.
