Having served with distinction as Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, he continues to be a committed and active supporter of cultural, charitable and health care organizations at the local, provincial and national levels. Chancellor of the University of Toronto, he has been particularly generous in support of educational initiatives, providing funding for scholarships and for the creation of a distinguished chair program.
