Chairman of the Board of his family farming and sales corporations, he has devoted a lifetime to the horticultural industry, during which time he pioneered the production of seed corn and potatoes in southern Manitoba. He has served as an advisor to the government in GATT negotiations, was involved in the development of a broadcasting firm emphasizing agricultural programing, and is an active participant in many community and public service organizations.
