A pediatric surgeon responsible for the Surgical Service at Saint Mary's Hospital in Lacor, she has devoted herself to the well-being of the people of northern Uganda for close to thirty years. Together with her pediatrician husband, she has survived through war-torn times to build the hospital into a model training centre and health care facility serving the vast rural area of Gulu.
