      One of Canada's great aviation pioneers, his feats of airmanship are legendary. After setting high operating and bush piloting standards during the 1920's that have never been equalled, he became the first instrument-qualified pilot in Canada, was the first pilot to join Trans-Canada Airlines, helped organize R.C.A.F. Air Transport Command at the beginning of World War II, and to crown his many achievements, became Director of Operations of the Canadian National Air Show.
