Throughout his many-faceted career, he has given generously of his time and administrative skills to a wide variety of organizations reflecting his great interest in youth, education, the forest industry and Pacific Basin trade. He maintained his interest in and enthusiasm for these diverse fields while serving in the military, as an industrialist and with great distinction as the twenty-fourth Lieutenant-Governor of the Province of British Columbia.
