He is a co-founder of the renowned Toronto International Film Festival. This festival, which has helped to build our national film industry and to inspire excellence in many of our best-known directors, has become one of the premier events of its kind in the world. His pride in Canadian talent as well as his desire to celebrate our achievements is also evident in other endeavours, including his role as a founding board member for Canada's Walk of Fame.
