Notwithstanding the demands of a busy legal practice, he has displayed boundless energy and an incredible level of dedication through his voluntary service. While National Vice-President of the Canadian Cancer Society and President of the Council on Smoking and Health, he worked diligently to increase public awareness of the health risks associated with tobacco use. As Vice-Chair of the National Arts Centre's Board of Trustees, he was at the forefront of successful fundraising and recruitment campaigns, which have invigorated the facility and demonstrated his commitment to advancing the performing arts.
