A successful entrepreneur and former National Hockey League athlete, he is also a dedicated community leader and philanthropist. He has held various leadership roles in his province, notably Chair of the 1991 Canada Winter Games. Particularly interested in the future of the youth of Prince Edward Island, he was a key player in establishing a franchise of Compu College on the Island, thus providing an additional form of post-secondary education. Sharing his time and expertise with numerous youth organizations, he has been an inspiration and mentor to many.
