Thomas Lee has had an illustrious career protecting Canada’s pristine parks and woodlands. A former forester in British Columbia and a senior public servant at Parks Canada, he initiated far-reaching conservation programs, and developed unprecedented policies governing the expansion and preservation of our beloved national parks and historic sites. He is also highly regarded for building relationships between Indigenous and environmental partners, as well as with federal and provincial forest agencies, to ensure a spirit of collective responsibility. His stewardship has defined Canada’s forestry practices and inspired countries around the globe.
