Janice Filmon is a model of community spirit and generosity. She is widely respected for her fundraising acumen and for her active engagement in myriad causes, including CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, and the Arthur V. Mauro Centre for Peace and Justice. Passionate about her province, she served as founding co-chair of Leadership Winnipeg, which fosters the development of the city’s future leaders, and as founding chair of the Nellie McClung Foundation, which helps to preserve her region’s rich history.
