He is a retired business executive whose selfless dedication to his community has made him one of Winnipeg's most respected citizens. A generous supporter of many educational, charitable and conservation organizations, he was a founding member of the University Grants Commission of Manitoba. A former Chancellor of the University of Winnipeg, he established a scholarship fund for rural students and an acquisition fund for the library. His past community activities also include serving as Chair of the United Way of Winnipeg.
