Working with Native organizations, and in consultation with federal government agencies, he has helped to develop social and economic programmes for Native people. As Director of Rural and Native Housing with Canada Mortgage and Housing he has, through personal foresight, patience and persuasion, ensured better housing for his people and established self-help programmes in remote areas.
