Professor of Economics at the University of British Columbia and former President of the Canadian Economics Association, this Vancouver native played an active role in the pioneering computer modeling of Canadian energy economics at the Bank of Canada and as a member of Project LINK. In addition to his achievements as a university professor, he has made important contributions to the discussion of economic policy issues in this country.
