In recognition of a lifetime devoted to nursing, both as a distinguished Army nurse overseas in the Second World War and, as executive director for twenty-nine years, of the Women's College and West Park hospitals in Toronto. Her devotion to patients, and her teaching and administrative skills have set a notable example to others.
