A Toronto artist and print-maker who moved to the Arctic twenty-five years ago, Terrence Ryan was a major force in the founding of the Baffin Island cooperative and the encouragement and marketing of Inuit art. It is largely due to his efforts that Inuit and, in particular, Cape Dorset art has become internationally known and the welfare and morale of the people improved.
