An artist in his own right and Director of the Art Gallery of Windsor, he has made outstanding contributions to that community's artistic and cultural life. Not only has he accumulated one of the country's finest collections of Canadian art, he also created a strikingly original art gallery to house it, and an excellent programme of cultural events to support it.
