Professor of Art History at the University of New Brunswick and former director of the Beaverbrook Art Gallery, Fredericton, who over a number of years has worked for the preservation of his province's architectural and historical heritage. He has also been active in archeological work in his province and in art extension activities throughout the Maritime provinces.
