David Beatty is a champion of integrity in corporate governance. Drawing on his experience as a business executive, he served as the managing director of the Canadian Coalition for Good Governance, where he led the development of policies to improve transparency in our public companies. As a result, major firms across the country now adhere to standards in such areas as shareholder communication and compensation disclosure. Presently, as the Conway Director of the Clarkson Centre for Business Ethics and Board Effectiveness at the University of Toronto, he continues to promote socially responsible behavior in the business community.
