John Borrows is one of the world’s foremost authorities in the field of Indigenous rights and legal traditions. A member of the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation and a professor of law at the University of Victoria, he has revealed the legal diversity and many parallel systems of justice that exist in Canada, for which he has been cited by Canadian courts.
