Cecil Rorabeck has expanded the boundaries of orthopedic care. Former chief surgeon at the London Health Sciences Centre, he has advanced hip and knee replacement procedures and prosthetics, improving the long-term outcomes of these surgeries for countless Canadians. He is lauded for his leadership within the broader medical community, notably as president-elect of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. A committed volunteer, he founded Operation Walk Canada, which provides joint replacement surgery and patient care in developing countries.
