Bryce Taylor has enhanced the quality of surgical education and patient care in Canada.
A professor at the University of Toronto and a surgeon at the Toronto General Hospital, he helped develop life-saving advancements in hepatobiliary surgery. He is recognized within academic and clinical medicine for his excellence in teaching and for his visionary leadership as the former McCutcheon Chair and surgeon-in-chief of the University Health Network. An advocate for improving surgical standards, he guided the implementation of the World Health Organization’s Safe Surgery Saves Lives Checklist in Canada.
