From July 2018 to July 2019, Colonel Langelier was deployed as deputy chief of staff, Operations and Plans, MONUSCO, and as commander, Task Force Democratic Republic of the Congo. He led the planning and execution of multiple key operations, enabled the protection of the civilian population and facilitated support for the Congolese elections. Fostering an inclusive, equitable and respectful climate for all, he skillfully oversaw the implementation of several initiatives that greatly enhanced the mission’s capacities. Colonel Langelier’s leadership significantly contributed to increasing stability in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
