While deployed to South Sudan from August 2014 to June 2015, Major Lindsay led multinational teams of senior civilians and military officers to gain critical intelligence used to save lives. He also established the Canada House Education Initiative, which offers free business and computer courses to locals. He selflessly devoted his free time to raising funds for the initiative and to teaching its students. While giving hope to hundreds of youths from a war-torn region, Major Lindsay significantly contributed to mission objectives.
