Master Warrant Officer G.A. Leach was the Company Sergeant Major of a rifle company providing airfield defence in the Gulf theatre of operations. Throughout, he managed his responsibilities in a methodical and precise manner. His abilities and untiring efforts won the praise of all. He set an example for every person in the Task Group and a standard of personal discipline and professionalism that few could match. In so doing, he contributed significantly to the success of the mission in its critical initial stages of operations in the Gulf.
