Mr. Jonckheer was President of the Netherlands-Canada Chamber of Commerce when he was appointed Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Canada-Netherlands Relations in 1994. In that capacity, he planned and implemented numerous successful events commemorating Canadian World War II veterans for the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Netherlands. His exceptional leadership and dedication enhanced Canada's image in the Netherlands and helped promote trade relations between the two countries.
